   Hi,Just wanted to ask you whether I can burn a whole movie on a double layer DVD (8,5G) with my DVD.Is there any firmware updates or utilitites that I can do that??Is there another way to fit a movie with no compression to a dvd???

   There aren't any reliable SL to DL firmware hacks available that I'm aware of. There was one for the NEC 2500 to a 2510 but it ruined some drives and only worked for some people.
   
   DL burners are ridiculously cheap so if you want to slap a $10 blank in a hacked drive and hope for the best that's your prerogative.
