Ok, I have a couple video files on my computer in MKV form. What I was wondering is that is their any player that allows you to take screencaps as you play? I normally use PowerDVD for all my avi files but with MKV it refuses to play. I know I could go and turn the MKV files to AVI but that is so much work that I would really like to avoid... Any help on this issue is greatly appericated...

PowerDVD should be able to handle mkv's, assuming you have an mkv splitter and relivant decoders installed.

Try Media Player Classic or mplayer.
