Hi all, Just a few quick questions. Hopefully someone can answer them, I'm sick of Googling and reading various forums/FAQs for the past 5 hours. Basically I have ordered a Wii, and it is due to arrive tomorrow. I live in the UK, so most likely I will get 4.0E. 1) Will this guide work fine on a 4.0E Wii? ANSWERED 2) Does that guide include a backup launcher? If not, where can I find one (preferably a guide that explains it coherently like above) that is compatible with 4.0E. ANSWERED 3) Can I burn scrubbed ISO's and play them using above backup launcher or do they need to be padded to 4.37GB. 4) Brawl DVD5 padded to 4.37GB, does it work fine under 4.0E and above backup launcher? Cheers for your time, any help is appreciated!
Please READ the Guides! Do not come barging in here and asking questions that can very easily be answered if you just took 5-10 minutes (not 5 hours) and looked through some of the very detailed guides in these forums, which lots of people have patiently taken the time to right up! i for one was a newb too and took the time to READ! any advice...look at the stickys! the guides are excellent!
I have read the stickies, but unfortunately most guides/replies are relevant to the USA version if Wii and not EU. I just want to double check that it works fine before attempting something stupid, I know that you can get HBC and Backup Channel working on a 4.0U. But some people have reported that Backup Channel doesn't work on 4.0E.
To my knowledge, as long as your Wii does not have the serials indicated in the guide you should be good to go. also, if you have any hic-ups with the backup launcher channel (as i have, and im sporting an NTSC-U wii) you can always use Neogamma v4 and run it through HBC...
but then again...on all the guides there are HUGE Warnings that state that you are always at risk when performing certain mods. the writers of the guides do not hold any reponsibilities. you alone are performing the actions thus...i rest my case!
