Just wanting to know if it will have a DVD player. My dvd player is on the way out, even though it is only 1 year old and cost me $700. Its out of warrenty. Will the XBOX360 dvd (if it has one) be able to play DVD-R's? and also when does the 360 come out (US and Australia if anyone knows). EDIT: and price
Yes it will be able to play DVDs. As for the release date...US 22 Nov 05 and I'm not sure about Australia but I don't think it hits there until early 06. Prices, well there are different packages popping up everywhere...some with unbelievable prices but, the two most common packages is the Core package $300 and the Premium Package for $400.
