I realize that the best way to insre a good dvd recording is to use quality media- ie: Branded media from a reputable maker. but my question is I notice that the writing surface- recording side of different dvd media are often either different colors or atleast diiferent depths of color . Do dvd disc that are darker in color depth indicate more or better dye thereby indicating a better quality disc ? Some media are lighter some darker. or is it more like the cdr arena mainly just a marketing gimmick?
