Firstly let me thank everyone who has contributed to this forum as all your advice to others has helped me remove trojan and vundo viruses I was suddenly hit with.

Having done all the clean up (ccleaner, cw shredder, spybot, superspyware etc etc) and trendmicro scan etc my laptop now appears to be clean yet still running slightly slow. I was hoping someone would be able to take a quick look at the hijackthis log below and advise accordingly if I need to take any further action as the entries mean absolutely nothing to me!!

I am also having a problem with adwatch as it creates a microsoft error report when my laptop starts up whereas before it used to run beautifully and kick in before I was allowed to do anything upon start up - any advice?

Hi Rosyuk. Sorry for the lack of replies over the last few days.

Your HijackThis log is clean, as far as I see it.

Your problem with Ad-watch is a known bug. Perhaps it will be fixed in the next build, perhaps it won't. No one really knows why it happens, but perhaps it is due to some conflict between adwatch and some program you have installed. All you can try to do is to set adwatch not to load at startup, and start it manually yourself when the computer loads .

I don't suppose you have run combofix? I suggest following Ltangel's instructions on downloading and running Combofix in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/639221 Post the log here. And yes, it is recommended to rename HijackThis, as certain variants of vundo have been known to hide themselves in HijackThis logs when they are named "HijackThis".

    Congrats on removing vundo!

    Best Regards :D
