I use shrink, and I was just wondering, when doing a full rip of a dvd, what is the normal length of time it should take to encode the files?

I just did Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace....took about an hour and half to encode and about 10 mins to burn...I know the burning time is about right, just wondering about the encode time...

    thank you

Hello, The time it takes depends on the compression ratio.
If it is at 100% it usually takes me between 15mins to 30mins.
If it is as low as 60% It has taken me about 1 1/2 hours up to 5 hours at times.

    I hope this helps.

it also depends on your computer specs and if you use quality enhancements. Using quality enhancements increases encoding time and so does having a slower processor and less RAM.
