How does the dvd burner burn... now iam going to buy an external dvd burner...does it burn like a cd to cd where you have to have both in at the same time oringal copy straight to blank..b.c my dvd rom drive is busted, cd rom works fine..or does the original dvd copy go to my computer and then from my computer to the blank dvd..or is just the dvd burner necessary and no dvd rom drive needed?

Hi adammoss1 - welcome to aD,

It's always nice to use a DVD ROM but you can get by with just your DVD Burner.

I suggest that you try the guides in my sig - Shrink / Decrypter are both free, easy to use and you'll do fine with your single drive

    Happy Burning,

    Pete

here how it goes or as i have learned from afterdawn
1.dvd burner ripps dvd to harddrive with dvddecrypter (be sure to get that)
2.you select the file or files that go into a video ts folder
then dvd shrink reencodes and shrinks the file or files to fit on a dvd disc
    3you watch and enjoy

4 if your sloppy you run from the fbi people and change your name to pepsi mc coke (since there the same thing dont tell bill gates)
then you move to canada where every body drinks canada dry aka canadian sprite and live happily ever after unless your an ostrick then your toast or... egg ... or what ever the meta phor is in canada

for the record im black and from kansas and in a good mood and felt like typing ad rules
