How fast is the FlashFXP supposed to transfer?

I transfered some files off my xbox to computer, it said the transfer rate was 1,154KB per sec. It that normal or too slow?

i have never looked at the transfer rate myself. I know a game that is about 3GB takes about 20-30 minutes to transfer

It's slow. Depending on the size of the files I usually get 5MB-8MB/s transfer rate.

    Okay,

Well my connections are as follows,

    Xbox Connection (LAN)
    IP address: 192.168.0.2
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: Obtain Automatically

    FlashFXP
    IP address: 192.168.0.3

    Xbox:
    IP address: 192.168.0.3
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

Does it have anything to do with my computer IP?

Yeah, your settings look good to me. Could be your ethernet card is configured improperly, maybe your crossover is jacked up, or maybe it's something else, but your IP settings and what not are not the cause.

No if you are connecting wirelessly than it will be dramatically slower...if you are connecting directly to your computer than you will get around 5mb-7mb/s connection ..........But it depends on your onnection type and speed

when i connect wirelessy i get about 500kb a second but when i go through directley i get like 7 mb a second that is how big a difference

I personally didn't notice a difference when i switched from going strait from Xbox to PC, then when i hooked it throught my new Linksys wiresless router with speedbooster
It takes about the same amount of time for me.

well i'm using the crossover cable method and i get 1.14MB/sec.

My DNS servers (on the xbox) are both the same, is that odd?

hey, i found out what was wrong.

the advanced options in the xbox connection was like "10BaseT_full_duplex" or somethin'.

I set it to "auto config." It is now going up to 8-9MB/sec
