When I try to make the wire and solder stick to the board, most of the time the solder will stick to the wire and not to the board, and there will be no connection. What do I need to do to make the solder stick to the board?

for once make sure youve removed the wax that covers the motherboard.remove the wax on the places that ur gonna solder not the whole thing.use your soldering iron to melt it.

there is no wax on the board . if you are soldering to via's (small round holes) you will need to scrape the enamel off the bard to expose the copper . for that and other points you will need to use a little flux to get the solder to stick .
