I had a chance to play around with an M3 miniSD version. This one looks similar to the one in the pictures, but instead of having a silver casing, its got a clear/green casing.. kind of like the one found on Super Mario Bros. DX (see image)

After poking around a little on m3-forums.com, I found out that this is V2 of the M3 miniSD. Also read that currently, not much homebrew is supported on this platform. Soon enough they should be, but at this time it isnt.

So if you're looking to run homebrew and you want your M3 ASAP, I would suggest picking up the SDv2 instead of the miniSDv2. If you can wait.. that would be better :)

I wasn't aware that M3 did anything other than silver?

    Perhaps a fake?

EDIT:Well, I just emailed Danny about it, lets see what he has to say.

99.99% sure its not a fake.. got it from an authorized dealer. when I got it in I sent a message to the people I bought it from asking why it was different.. they said that the new batch they bought consisted of these instead of the silver cased ones. all the games i have play perfectly fine on it, just certain homebrew programs (DSOrganize, BeUP, NDSMail) don't seem to work on it at this time. Probably need updates for those programs.. I'm running the latest versions that i'm aware of

Just got a reply from Danny:

At least homebrew will be working with it soon.
