I ordered the xecuter modchip package from modchip.com for a v1.1-v1.5 xbox along with the solderless adpater. Ok but when i received my package , it turns out that the sent me the solderless adapter for a 1.6 xbox. They also gave me a pcb. Now i was just wondering if i could just forget the solderless adapter and the pcb, which are for v1.6xboxes and just solder the chip in like normalALY. but are the chips the same for each type of xbox, like will i still be able to solder it in and ittl work?
Well, you paid for it. Why do take a wrong one? Yes it works if you can solder it. It will make your motherboard messy. Sometime you are even damage your motherboard. Especially the D0 point when you solder. I suggest to get the right package. This make your job easy and simple.
