I purchased a DVD and read the forums until I was comfortable enough to back-up some DVD's. In that case I used +R's and they came out ok. Now my son can not play the +R so I went out and got some -R's to try and burn them. I used Fuji disc, but with both Nero recode and 1clickDvd (I have Any DVD running in background and I used DVD Decrypt) and both programs would freeze without burning anything. I turned around and used Vertbatums +R and all went well. Any ideas on what I may have left out, since my burner list both formats. Thanks, Falcon07
Try updating the firmware to your DVD Writer. Do to the drive manufactures website and download and install the latest firmware this enables your drive to read different and newer blank media.
