    Hi,
This problem has probably been asked many times, But Im trying to get dome new R4 and SD cards to work together to put some DS games on for my little ones for xmas, Ive had the games given to me on discs so know they work,

Ive purchased the following R4 cards... http://www.dsadapters.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=41 and have brand new 8gb SD cards to go with them,

The problem is that I have reformatted the SD cards, loaded the relevant software onto them from the website, Popped them in the R4 and then I get a black screen with Loading in white, and it just stays there.

Any help, or suggestions welcome as Im at my wits end with these...
    Thanks
    Laura xxx

first check the cards say either upgrade or sdhc on them. if not, these cards will only accept up to 2gb sd cards with older firmware. version 1.18 works on most of these but you may have to google for other versions to try out. if the cards are sdhc delete everything off of card and get firmware version 1.12b, extract contents to a folder then open this folder, after this you should end up with 4 files named moonmemo,moonshl2,R4iMenu and R4.dat right click these and send to memory card, after this add 1 game to card to check everything works, if so create a folder on card called games and put all games here. if this doesn,t work you will have to google for different firmware versions for the r4 software. this is why you only put 1 game on card to begin with,it will save you time in the long run. there is lots of firmware for these cards but you will find the right one,it just takes time. ALSO DO NOT OVERLOAD MEMORY CARD WITH GAMES,THIS WILL CAUSE THE CARD TO CEASE FUNCTIONING. 2GB (1.5gb games)4GB(3.2gb games)8GB(6.5gb games) i stick to these guides myself. i hope this helps you,i have children myself.i will check back and see how far along you are.
