r4 card with software not showing on ds

    i have just brought an r4 card, i downloaded the software and copied all folders onto the r4 card: menu.dat, mshl.nds, moonshl folder and system folder. i have also put games on sent to me by a friend but when i put it into ds it says there is no cartridge in. help!!!

    Sounds like your R4 is bad or your slot-1 in the DS is bad.

    If the R4 was good, even without the microSD in it, would boot and say "Couldn't find SD card".

    You could try the paper shim trick, but it sounds like a bad flashcart.

    thanks for the advice, i think it is the slot i tried hte r4 card in friends ds today and it worked in his and his one worked in mine. so luckily we have simply swopped and everyone is a winner. thanks
