R4 DS Card Problems - Please help! MENU? message

    Hey all,

    I recently bought an R4 card for my DS and have downloaded the latest firmware (r4ds-1.18.rar) from the official site. I have copied this and a couple of .nds games onto the card (which is a 4gb card) however as soon as i turn the power on it comes us with a box with MENU?.

    Does anyone know how the hell i can get the DS to read the card & games etc. What am O doing wrong?

    Do i need any further files/software?
    If so where is the best place to get them and what are they called?

    Many thanks in advance for any help you knowledgeable people could pass on. I'm pulling my hair out with this.

    If its an original R4 - it can only take 1 or 2GB cards (not SDHC cards - i.e. 4GB and above)

    Hi CAFCLAD, I'm having the same problem you are having, Did you manage to sort it out? I am also pulling my hair out, these things always seem so easy till I come to do them myself.
