I was just wondering why the R4 is so cheap nowadays. Just been fishing around for the best deal and realized how cheap it is compared to a cyclo ds or m3. I am actually trying to find a CycloDS Evolution for cheap, but there usually around $50. I realize the R4 is prob the most popular cart out there and that most R4's arn't legit anymore, maybe thats why there so cheap.
R4s are no longer supported, that's why they're so cheap. Everyone is dumping their inventory. The R4s have known limitations with certain newer games. The Cyclo is the "Cadillac". That's why it's "relatively" expensive.
That's because since the R4 is kinda old, it doesn't support new games. however, if you have an application called dslazy, you can hack into games to make them work. Also, since the r4 company stopped making new adapters and firmware, no one's buying it. That's why you can get it at amazon.com , gamekool.com , and dealextreme.com . Now, people are making crappy clones that don't work and selling them. Here are the R4s.
