I just bought the R4 SDHC card + 8GB memory chip. If i copy 10 movies on it , it only plays the 1st 4 that i play, i get encoder error on the rest. If i delete the movies and load them again and play a different 4 movies thay play ok but the others don't. Also if i add more games or music it all goes in some chinese sort of charaters and will not play. I keep formatting the disk and starting again. I think theres a bug with the firmware R4SDHC v1.25. Any one can help? I also have the R4 Neo and Cyclosds and all movies work fine
This card has been reported as having issues with larger SD cards - it will not see or play some of the files - however there are two different SDHC cards with the same name, this is the list of R4 cards and as you can see many have similar or the same name, it could be the firmware. I have the R4 SDHC Card, i think you are right that it has issues with larger sd cards. I have tried all the different firmware versions , but they did not work. I have now swapped the 8gb chip to a 2gb chip with my CycloDS and it works fine, and again all the movies work on the 8gb chip in the CycloDS. Its definatly a bug in the software.
