Hi all, new member here with (hopefully) an easy question.

I have an "R4-SDHC Upgrade Revolution" from r4-ds-card.com, and an 8 gig. Kingston micro sd card and everything is working great. The other day I decide to upgrade to a "class 6" micro sd card, and get an 8 gig Transcend.

I thought I could just copy the contents of one micro sd to the other and be done with it; however on the new micro sd my game save for "Mario & Luigi Partners in Time" comes up as two empty slots; even though slot 1 was in use and I was about 50% through the game. Both cards were formmatted FAT32 and 4096 block size. I've copied the .SAV file over several time and always get the same result. Is there anything I'm missing here ? (the names of the .NDS and .SAV match exactly, and the sav file continues to work fine on the original Kingston micro sd).

    Thanks!

change the save file extension to lower case (.sav not .SAV) sometimes does the trick...

Actually I just made that CAPS in my original message by mistake. Here are the exact file names:

Mario and Luigi Partners In Time.nds
Mario and Luigi Partners In Time.sav

My kernel version is the latest for my card, 1.23b.

    Thanks for the response/idea.

Anyone know if my original thought of copying all files from one 8 gig micro sd to another should be seemless as far as use in the R4 ? Seems to me it should be, yet I'm having this issue (the only issue I've noticed so far).

The problem with copying all files and folders across is that there may be hidden files that are not being copied across...

and everytime you copy something you run a small risk of it corrupting a file, this may of happened.

Try downloading the firmware(kernal) again from the website and copy it to your freshly formatted sd card, and copy just your .nds files and .sav files afterwards.
