HI,I recently bought an r4i v1.4 card for a DSi v1.4e for my son, but it doesn't seem to work. (This R4i SDHC came in a red box with v1.4 in a little yellow star, the black card has upgrade revolution for the DS (NDSi/NDS/NDS)on it.) is this a fake or does this card work? I have put on various kernel updates but it still doesn't seem to work (I'm either getting a black screen with loading or just two black screens) . can any one give me a easy step-by-step guide on the proper kernel that I need for this R4i card, it would be very much appreciated!!! Thanks to people who have read this and posted comment's, I just hope somebody can help me. (p.s. I hope I don't need a DS lite because I haven't got one)
Hi m8. Mmmmm...seems the manufactures have produced a version which resists most if not all attempts to run a r4i card on their version 1.4e's for the dsi from just before xmas 09. Plus there are lots of clones out there and you may have as easily been scammed with one. There are lots of Kernel files out there and when I say lots....''I mean lots'. I have bought 2 r4i's for my dsi console. With fire in my heart and lots of downloads based on sites recomended for them individually, I still cannot get either to opperate. Lots of sites advertising potentially original material are in fact selling clones. Trouble is....with this happening and make no mistake about it...'it is'. I haven't yet read any artical on a successsful outcome on this r4i matter using imfo they give....There are so many people buying r4i's and not realising the downfall, you struggle. Just read all the .....''how do I get my r4i to work in my brand new dsi'' Sorry to be a stick in the mud BUT NOW I KNOW I WILL BE BETTER OFF WITH A DSLITE.
(have you tried using another SD card?) I would format your SD card using http://www.4shared.com/file/221775557/63623bc8/Panasonic_SD_Format_SET_UP.html Then format again using windows... Firstly you should get the firmware from the website your purchashed your R4, if thats not possible then Maybe this is where to get your firm=ware...(choice of 2 depending on what you have) http://r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp If not keep trying others from.... http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/
Do you mind me asking what tf card you are using, there are issues with some. Also, turn the card over, does it say exactly R4i-SDHC 5? Hello, i'm new lol
No, on the card its says r4i upgrade, revolution for ds (dsi/dsl/nds). I've put on over 20 different kernel downloads and still no good have you got the same card?
No, I just started supplying the cards so have been keeping an eye out on what works and doesn't, and tested virtually all card types myself, starting to list them on my site now. I can ship you a used r4i for free for you to try if you want...
