downloaded the following software from http://www.wiiloveds.com/product-p/r4dsi.htm English v.1.04. I turn the ds lite on and it freezes on the red ? menu. I've been looking around for the solution and found nothing yet. Please anyone can you help?
That red menu icon means your cards doesnt have the correct firmware on it. I have had a look at that website page you have linked and the 2nd download link on that page(nearer the bottom). gives you the 1.04 firmware download straight away, ( i think this is the firmware you downloaded, which i think is incorrect anyhow) Look for the 1st download link for 1.04 (just below description beginning of page) this takes you to this website http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp On this website that it links you to, you have two choices depending on if you have V1.4 on your packaging or not, it seems the one you need is the one on left hand side. R4i English V1.18b Download this unpack the .rar file and copy all the files and folders to a freshly formatted SD card. Hopefully this will solve your problem...
