Please help im getting like 20FPS on Counter Strike Source. I've heard that you can get at least 60FPS with it. wat does this mean?
Core Clock in MHz 398 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 203 MHz
when on the box it says 400/400MHz Core/Mem

and also how do i change from DIRECT3D to openGL with the new drivers?

My counterstrike runs arround 20fps too. Are you playing online? If you are mabey its your internet connection that is decreasing the fps. Your vcard is certanly capable of counterstrike. Gosh mine is and i got some via/s3crap. 60fps seems a bit to fast, as if its fastfowarding. Check your latenency.

What resolution are you running at. Do you have any of the eye candy turned on? Also according to ATI website the 9600 pro has a memory clock speed of 300. As for OpenGL and Direct3D I dont think there is way to change it. The only games right now that use OpenGL are Quake series. Doom 3, and anything elese that uses the Quake 3and 4 engine or Doom 3 engine. Most games use Direct3d.

Eye candy = Do you have things like anti-aliasing turned on, textures turned up. Stuff that makes the game look better. When you turn up those kind of things they can slow the game down.
