RAM - AUTO - 4 BEATS - 8 BEATS , whats it all about?

    and what should I set it to, to get the best out of my system?

    Athlon 64 3500+
    Asus A8V deluxe
    4x 512 Corsair VS 400ddr
    7800 GS AGP 256Mb Graphics
    200Gb Maxtor

    I usually leave things at auto, but they put things there for tinkering with :D

    download cpuz and it will tell you what things are running at now set at auto, then you can see if you can tighten them any. check with corsair for the right timings for your modules and find out where the cmos reset jumpers are on your mobo as you might need to use it if it fails to post when you change the timings.

    Thanks for the input, I made a mistake, there is no auto, its 2,4 or 8 beats. I'll have a tinker :p
