    My PC's configuration is

    Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz
    Windows XP SP2
    Intel D945GNT (Motherboard)
    Nvidia GeForce 7100GS (512 MB)
    450 Watts Power Supply
    1 GB DDR2 RAM (Previously)
    2 GB DDR2 RAM (Currently)

Just now i added another 1 GB RAM DDR2 of the same clock speed. After installing the RAM and starting the computer, i experienced slow speed. I restarted the computer still the speed was slow. After removing the new RAM and starting the computer, i again faced slow speed. I only installed the RAM and started my computer. I didn't change anything nor installed anything. What could be the problem? How can i fix it. Please help me.

Whats slow about the computer? Booting, hanging? Are your sure the DIMM you installed is compatible with the motherboard, and are they both the exact same? (Latency, timings etc)

its taking time to boot. applications are opening very slow. its freezing alot. the data transfer is slow. i am sure that the RAM is the same as the previous one and my motherboard supports it. it is even of the same brand(transcend). but i noticed one thing. the small black things on the new RAM have transcend written on it while the other has jetflash on it. someone also told me you have to apply a solution before installing it. is it true? if yes tell me which one to apply.
