Yeah the G skill set has a pretty low voltage which is good. Ok some people keep telling me 1066 would be much better. So IDK since some other's say it's an unnoticable difference. In games? As for CL4 vs CL5 would there be a noticeable difference? In games? Thanks. I mean is CL 4 vs CL 5 just going to make any difference in performance not just gaming? And how much? Or is it only used for overclockers? Thanks.
IDK if these will support the mobo I want but they seem good. Should get these or still stick with the CL 5 g skill? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231209 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231219
Please don't post exactly the same messages in this thread as your private messages to me, you know I read both, so only post them here.
Ok sam I think I finally figured out why so many people have problems with the UD3R motherboard or hopefully I did. 1. it's because their power supply is bad 2. the power supply does not have an EPS 8pin 12V connector (corsair psu's do) 3. Because of that they can't do Dual channel Most reviews are about the mobo restarting alot that because they did dual channel with a bad psu. and Sam if you already knew this then you could have told me otherwise this is what a read from 1 review and I'm not too sure. But if this is true then we can help many with a ud3r fix their problems. Peace.
Ok now I'm into asking if I rather get a 1066 CL5 than a 800 CL4? I heard that for AMD CL matters most and for Intel bandwidth matters most. that's what I heard but correct me if I'm wrong. If it is true that if I get Intel and a 1066mhz CL5 would perform better in overall(Including video encoding or tell me if not) and in games than a 800MHZ CL4 then can you recommend me any of that as I see plenty of g skills for like 55 at higher bandwidth? Thanks.
You read it from ONE review. So who cares? No motherboard refuses to run unless you have an 8 pin connector, thats just added security if you're drawing a lot of power through the socket (you aren't). I've also not heard of any problems with dual channel on that board. You are correct, Intel CPUs prefer memory speed over memory latency. For that reason, choosing PC8500 C5 is better than PC6400 C4.
So what would be the best recommended 1000mhz or 1066mhz Ram for under like 60. I have planned to order the computer parts tomorrow so SAM since they don't have the CD drives in stock which can I get for cheap still that will work quite well????? So I need these answers ASAP. Thanks.
