ram trouble

    hey,
    Can any one help me, my notebook has a total of 256mb ram, but it only shows as 192mb.I found out that the other 64 of it is used for video graphics. Does anyone know how i can alter this setting to change how the ram is shared? any help would be great

    HP Pavilion ze5700ea notebook
    2.8 gh
    256 ram
    40 gb hdd
    dvd-rom/cd-rw
    Windows xp home
    less tha 9 months old

    check your user's manual to get into the bios to change the setting but as you have xp, you should increase the ram to 512meg
