hey all, recently built my own pc. Everything seems to work (ish). Computer stopped working previouslly due to faulty processor thanks to great old ebuyer! but anyway after about a month of contacting them they agreed to look at the processor and rest of the pc (that I bourght of them). They found the processor to be faulty and so repalced it and said everything else is fine. Ok so now I have put it all back together if anything it strangely seemst to be working faster and better then before (didnt know a faulty processor could cause these sort of problems lol). Anyway Now every few hours (occasionally not all the time) my PC seems to crash; however it seems that the graphics crashes and the pc keeps processing etc as when I boot up windows again windows dosent display any of the "windows has recovered from a serious error" crap. My pc hardware is as follows: Amd phemon quad core 2.6 GHZ (red=ebuyer) 4gb kingston 1066mhz memory 1tb hardrive (sata) sata dvd rw Some random asus motherboard with nividia 8200 on board gpu nividia 9600 GTX+ (bought from novatech) This picture is also an example of how it crashes (although most of the time the display completly turns off; Direct link: http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7418/dsc01769pzs.jpg Also I would like to add I have only had this issue running the 'hazard precption test' in the software called "Driving test sucsess", and in a antivirus software called "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware". It is really annoying atm as i'm trying to practice for theory test and it keeps crashing every few days during it so after like 15 minutes of clicking for hazards it crashes and dosent give me my score. any ideas what may be causing this? it seems like graphics card is faulty but it seems find whilst playing the latest games such as mirrors edge and far cry 2 etc (which it hasnt crashed in) any help is apeciated, glitchy
can you try the card on another pc to see if does thing? have you tried both newer & older video drivers?
If I remember I updated the drivers to a special released version by the actual manafacturers because if I remember correctly at the time the actual nividia ones had problems with this spesific card. However I will try and update them later and then ill post whether it has helped. I have also tried the card on my dell (whilst ebuyer were testing my current pc). Will update you later with result, glitchy
