I'm attempting to troubleshoot way my xebencoder.exe always crashes. I've got a ratDVD file that checks out good with RATcheck, and plays normally, I just can't uncompress it or burn to DVD format. I did a clean XP Pro install on another PC and transferred the ratDVD file using a small external laptop USB drive. On the new computer the ratDVD is a folder and won't Open in anything. I don't know WinDoze, so excuse me if this is a baby question, but how can I get this ratDVD to open? I've tried adding .ratDVD to the file name and a few other things.

I opted to transfer the file again and it was fine the 2nd time, I've got no idea what happened the first time.
My new XP Pro install on another PC didn't solve the xebencoder.exe crashes, they happened at the same place as the other PC with the same error messages. File plays fine in WMP 9, WMP 10 and ratDVD. Just can't get the real DVD un-encoded. Total bummer. I think I'm done with ratDVD files for the time being. Perhaps it'll be good once all the bugs are eliminated.
