prodisc are decent, i use verbatim data life plus, which i bought 100 for $28, and they are first rate media, but if the prodisc are really cheap and you need them now, definetely get them.
Im on a budget, so if u were in my shoes, which media would u choose? Im not looking t pay more then 35 bucks for 100 of the hub printables.
Verb printables might run you a little more than that, go ahead and get the Prodisc, just remember never to burn at faster than 4x.
is prodisc better the ritek? im looking at http://www.meritline.com/dvd-r-hub-inkjet-printable-blank-media-discs.html http://www.supermediastore.com/media1.html
Cant say, never tried ritek but have used prodisc and optodisc, they are good quality, therefore i have to give you a biased answer....Prodisc.
and i will give you a biased answer too, NO, i will have to disagree with you dvdback23~ i have used both prodisc AND optodisc in the past w/ NOT SO GOOD results, while i have ONLY used the 8x Ritek dvd-r G05 coding ones, i have over 500+ flawless backups on those. so, considering that i have USED the aforementioned 3 brands/manufacturers of media, i would PERSONALLY say that from MY OWN experience, prodisc and optodisc don't even come CLOSE to the quality of the Riteks...this of course is MY biased opinion having used all 3 of them in the past. not trying to start an argument here or anything of that sort, but if you want biased opinions, there you have it... if you ARE on a budget G-dizzle, it IS in fact YOUR money, go with whichever YOU feel comfortable in using/trying...i was the 2nd person to respond to this thread and gave you my opinion of the list you posted, it's YOUR money, so it's YOUR choice...good luck~
I agree 100% with kivory666 .. I wouldn't insult my burner with ProDisc or OptoDisc .. I also believe that Ritek is the BEST BUDGET media available PERIOD .. I have had countless excellent burns and scans using Ritek media and along with Verbatim, Sony and Maxell, rhey are virtually flawless
as i stated at the start of this thread, i was given a spindle of 100 DataWrite Titanium +r 8x to try on the understanding that they were RITEKR03 THEY WERE NOT they ID'd as Prodisc R03-03 have now tried 20 disc,s my result's are as follow's the disc would not allow me to burn at less than 6x ( BAD ) 11 would not play (VERY BAD) the 12th upon flexing delaminated leaving me with 2 very thin disc's and dye on my fingers ( LOST FOR WORDS ) the 8 that did burn successfully showed a really nice scan( i would'nt like to bet on what there like in 3mths) solution. i've given the rest to my grandchildren to play about with, and to a guy up the road who i don't like a lot(swearing to him there the best) see my sig
short anwser NOOOOOO!!!! def. stay away from prodisc ,before i knew anything about media i bought some DVD dash R fujifilm at best buy that coded out as prodisc so guess what there full of countless read errors so i have redone most of the movies i had on them to Taiyo Yudens and guess what NO read errors there all perfect so in order of good media Taiyo Yuden Verbatim(a very close second or in my opinion just as good as TYs) and Ritek (ridata) and reason being TY and Verbatim are better than the others is the [bold] AZO DYE [/bold] that is used in both as Kivory says do yourself a favor a get the good stuff in the first place and have piece of mind about your backups
datawrite yellow 4.7gb 8x dvd-r brilliant value for money and good quality i got a 50pk for £9.99 (just under 20p a disk) http://www.kvjfairdeal.com/
@flynadine - hmmm, glad you're having luck with those, but i wouldn't let them near my burner - - CMC Mag or TTG02 media codes - ugh! not for me thanks
i would rather listen to "it's only just begun" by the Carpenters than let CMC discs near my burner :O
