This may be a really dumb question but I'm new to the whole torrent thing. To get a good sharing ratio do I have to be on the sight with my client open so that people can upload from me? Also, I always move my files out of the bottom half of azureus (the finished files) so I can move them to a different folder on my HDD... if I want a good share ratio i should leave those files where they are?

Yes, leave your client open (you can disconnect from the site though, once it logs your ip throught the tracker, you're good to go)

And you should either leave the files where they are and let them seed, or move them and then direct azureus to their new location, so you can seed some more.

I recommend trying to keep as high a ratio as possible, just so that if you find a torrent that you want, that has no leechers, you can safely download it without worrying about your ratio.
