How do I transfer video files to my V3Cm Razr from Alltel? I am using a USB Bluetooth Dongle to transfer my mp3's and jpeg's. Those work fine, but when I try to send a video file (wmv and mpeg), it says the server does not support the operation. Please help, thanks.

    first of all download this:
    http://developer.motorola.com/?path=1.2.6.30.777
Then unzip it, and run it. Then plug your phone in, it should then say "1 device connected" Then it will say new hardware found! When it asks to install drivers click on the one that says do it just click the thing that says you want to do it yourself. Tell it to 'include this folder in the search' give it the folder u unzipped the program to, then click next it will find the drivers, just keep clicking next or yes. When it is done, another driver install window will pop up, keep doing the exact same thing (search in the specified folder) and repeat untill the install driver box stops popping up. [it will install a different driver every time] then goto
    http://www.motomodders.net/
and become a memeber then goto the tab: download>software>p2k software
    and on that page download:
    P2KTools Version 0.7.1.9 by Bezol
then once it is downloaded unzipped and running, run the UID extractor when they are both running. Plug in your phone and wait, then goto the p2k program and click 'refresh' Now you have full access to your phone! including A:\ and C:\ BUT DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING THAT IS ALREADY ON YOUR PHONE, BECAUSE IF YOU ARE A NOOB LIKE MYSELF YOU WILL TOTALLY F**K IT edited by ddp! anyway that being said you can goto: on p2k software of course!
    C>mobile>>auido
then drop and drag any music file you want! Or pictures or videos!
PS: i know it is a very long process but trust me it is worth it! and better then any 'included' motorola software!

I downloaded the first link you sent, the Motorola UID Extraction Tool, unzipped, installed, and then ran it. When I opened it, I then plugged in my USB Bluetooth Dongle, and it still said on the bottom "No device connected." (Yes, I turned on bluetooth on the phone.) And I don't have a USB cable that plugs into my phone, which seems to be quite popular after reading through other posts. All I have is the Bluetooth Dongle.

After I run the program, a notebook file is made in the folder it's installed. The name of the file is the date followed by "PST_Core.log". I open it, and it says "09/30/06 13:22:37 DeviceID:1000,CPSTSession::SetStringID: Not supported for this configuration"

I'm beginning to think that I can't send videos to phone because of Alltel? I know Verizon doesn't allow transfer of mp3's, right? Perhaps that's the problem?

Ok, I'm an idiot... I just realized it has to be MPEG4 file format... The videos I was trying was MPEG2. However, I got a converter, converted to MPEG4, got it on the phone, BUT when I play the video on the phone it only plays the audio, there is no video. Hmmm...

Because MPEG4 has two files, the sound and audio... if you have placed both of these in the file you should be fine... if you havent do it :)

I got it all working... Apparently the correct file format is .3gp. Hmmm.... I got a converter and tried every format, lol. Don't know why, but 3gp works, whatever that is.
