The above is a fairly old (5 years?)player. It uses a proprietary RCA format to store media. They couldn't just use regular MP3 or wmv. It uses Musicmatch Jukebox to connect and transfer files. Problem is, I can't get Windows XP to find the player. I get ignored by RCA when I try tech support.

    Ideas?

I have this same device, with the same problems.

You can get a driver from the Musicmatch plugins page - but it appears to be sadly buggy. In fact, I recall having problems with this a while ago - I reported it to Musicmatch, and never got a response.

Could be that the device is so old that they don't really care about it anymore.

Personally, I like this little device - the DSP is handy, too.

But I've just tried (and failed) to get any music onto the memory card. Musicmatch's portable device manager gets psychotic when I try to switch between the K@zoo's internal and external interface - and doesn't allow me to transfer files to either of them, at all.

It could be there are other third-party wares out there that could transfer to the proprietary format... if you find them, let me know (I'll do the same).

I also noted the absense of the "format" option in the Musicmatch plugin (which is really silly).
