Is there a way to do this? It appears the audio wasnt the problem, and pretty sure its the size.

I need to convert an Xvid from 576x432 to 640x368

Is this possible? And how long does the process take?

Nothing wrong with 576x432, it is mod16 and exactly 4:3. Upsizing won't help quality at all. But yes it is possible and how long it takes depends mostly on your hardware, but also on what XviD settings, how many passes and the resize filter you use.

Well then im stumped as to why these files wont play on the DVD player. Really stumped....

out of 24 episodes of files, 4 dont play. The only difference is the frame size.

I just re-encoded with virtual dub the first 20 seconds to 640x368 then aborted it. Burnt it to a cd and it played in the DVD player, so I am guessning that was the problem.

Ill try do a full encode of the file and see what happens.

Did you check if the files that don't work use say qpel? Think I suggested that in your other thread.
