    a couple questions...

    one: ive got a lot of shit on my hdd that its acting up and all. and i was wondering if there was a way to re-format the hdd without having to reinstall windows? if so, is there also a way to choose what files you dont want to be deleted?

    question 2: say that i had another hdd that i needed to reformat. but i dont have the windows disk. is it possible to reformat it, then copy the windows files from the hdd that already has windows to the one that i just formatted?

    @Tybro9

    The way to do this is to put the OS disc in and booting from it and doing a repair install. or a fresh install without choosing the formating options.

    theoretically i can see a possibility in regards to this. You may just have to do it via MS DOS though.

    Putting the command like: Copy C:\windows to D;\ for e.g.

    I hope that helps...

    Well I don't see how its possible to do it without having the CD because when you may be removing files you may remove a file that the program needs to make you run. I recommend getting a disc.
