I have Nero Burning Rom 6. something that I can burn DVD's and the whole nine yards. I am getting ready to re-format my computer due to just too munch junk on it and I just want to start from scratch again. Is there any way to save my current nero program to a disc so all that I have to do is re-install it from the disc. I have my original 5.5 disc but it does not have the DVD plug-in or some of the other extras that I have updated with time. I am a average computer user so if some one could just give me a step by step on how to do this. Thanks in advance.
I'm a little confused. Do you have Nero 6 or Nero 5? Did you originally purchase 5.5 and then upgrade to Nero 6? If so, all you have to do is save your program serial number. Nero 6 can be downloaded from the net from several places. The problem with trying to save Nero is that Nero has entries all over the place in the Registry as well as drivers and other low level operators installed. Usually before reinstalling or upgrading Nero, one runs a Nero Clean Tool to fully purge the system of all things Nero so that a completely fresh install can be accomplished. My advice would be to note what plugins you have and locate them online for adding later after a fresh install.
This is a good one, http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/wma-plugin.php I don't know of many more. Unless you mean this http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/DVD_Video_Plug_In.html Let me know if I've been missing something all this time.
