ok i just managed to do a restore factory settings and now i have 188 channels how do i exit back to the blank screen
i had 188 and the power in house went off ui then installed again automatic and only 37 and then i restored factory settings and got back 188 staions i tried to do a blank screen and out in 1570 but i got a sign saying sacrmbled or bad channels the basic channels come true
Put starview box on a bad or scrambled channel, then press menu, then press 1570, this opens CAS menu, scroll to bottom, EMU, set it to on, exit back to scrambled channel, wait for updating to finish, approx 280% If it doesn't update, you dont have an upto date firmware on it.
thanks mate just two more questions can ntl find out if your using this machine , and how come i see people lookinf for codes etc and frequencys and i didnt have to do that i got it wothout entering codes etc
NThell cant see these boxes, no "talkback" feature on them, The reason for other people looking for codes is because they dont have up to date firmware, older firmwares wont autoroll, so when the codes get changed those boxes cant see it, but with up to date firmware, the box recognises the code change.
Mylo thank you very much i really appreciate that and i am so glad that NThell can not check to see if your using it as i thought i read it here somewhere and that you had to get another box to decipher them finding out thanks lads im gonna enjoy this ta
Cheers Scouser, I've been at these a while now, even been down the J-Tag road with them too, They're really easy to use when your used to them, but ya have to imagine someone taking them out of the box for the first time......how ? what ? where ?? most of it is funny though !
If you have a pace box from NThell, keep it connected up too, otherwise they might notice that it's not being used anymore, and start wondering how your viewing your tele
no i use the old analogue system im a cheap skate, heres just one question any way they can be used in Spain just to get one or two english channels while im over ther i have heard they use nagra but surely we can use them in spain come on whizz kids is there away
It might, but these boxes connect to a cable network, so all you'll be able to get is whatever is on that cable network. Best bet is to buy a cheap FTA satellite set up, point it at astra, and you'll get most of the brit stations.
