Sorry I didnt copy the full file earlier re my very slow dvdr burns..
Hopefully this will help target the nature of the problem.

Remember. the burner does dvdrw media in 15 minutes!

I am absolutely certain it is a settings problem with my PC. ANy experts in this area?

    Thanks
    Steve

Ah... Now this is a better log. First off go here

    http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero6_3.html

and update nero to 6.3.1.25. It is as far as your version will likely go without having to pay for an upgrade. You only need package 1 and 2 from there. But the nero mix and meadia player will be ok if you want them as well. While I look closer to see if I can sort anything out about that driver down there.

This REALLY stands out, you need to increase you memory to at LEAST 512 meg.

    Another part that stands out.
It is not detecting what your drive is. Imation has never released a firmware update for your drive though.

Hello Gwendolin and thanks for replying..

Pls refer to the continuin dialogue I am currently having with Whompus on the subject..

In short my burner burns dvdrw media in just 15 minutes so the memory issue doesnt appaer to be the problem.

    Hello Whompus,

thanks for the info re upgrading Nero..

a month ago I upgraded to nero 6.6.0.18 and the problem wasnt solved so i uninstalled it.

    thanks for your continued assistance!
    Much much appreciated.

Should I uninstall the usb drivers/controller and reinstall?

    Steve

    This
is the adapter driver for the usb adapter inside the burners box. It does not seem to be installed correctly. Try reinstalling the usb driver from the cd that came with the burner.
