    Hi,
Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I just wanted to relay a pretty frustrating situation I have found at meritline. My order was shipped on 6/28 from California. I live in Washington. The confirmation email shows a 3-9 business day delivery window. As of today, 7/18, I have not received my DVD's.

When I called customer service, I was brushed off until i mentioned the 3-9 business day delivery. Then something about tracking my order was mumbled and then I was hung up on.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes Meritline offers good prices. But if you are at all interested in receiving your goods in a timely manner, you may want to reconsider where you order from.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with Meritline.

It is too bad that you ran into staff who doesn't care whether you have been a loyal customer or not. Hopely owner and managers are different over there. I suggest you ask for a manager when you call again, let's see how they handle your problem.

I used to order from Meritline long time ago, but I stopped once they ship me wrong dvd. So I moved onto Newegg. Overall, I liked Newegg better since their price is competitive and shipping charge is much low. 3day shipping costed very little or sometimes free and since they are located in east coast and I live in Virginia, I sometimes received stuff in 2 days.

However, nothing beats shopping medias locally since I can get what I want through weekly sales.

Did you get an email with a tracking #? I am waiting on a DVD case I ordered from them and they sent me an email with the Fedex tracking number in it.

If you used the "smartpost" shipping, even though the portal is a fedex domain, it is actually shipped USPS. If you go to to the USPS site and plug in your tracking #, I bet you get some results.

True, but I have never found any TY's in a local brick and morter store. IF I could, I surely would! :)

I only bought from Meritline once last year. Here are the results.

    DVD

100 pack silver/matte Ridata 8x -R. Got four 25 packs of the correct media & they all burned fine.

    CDR

100 pack 48x Ritek silver matte/blue (they have a blue dye bottom) & instead was shipped silver/matte Ritek 52x disks in two 50 packs with no explanation or anything. Maybe (?) they were out of stock on the cheaper blue bottom disks so they substituted the higher speed disks. I didn't complain & all of those disks burned fine as audio CD's.

I'm not against Meritline, I just buy TY & Verbs from Supermediastore now. All of the media (from Meritline) came by UPS in a big box with peanuts.

    hmmm... thats funny...

I ordered a 500 DVD Box holder from meritline a while ago and the speed seemed resonable. I live in PA so it took the sugested time of 5 days to get here. And speaking of customer service: the box was missing 2 dvd sleves which were induvudally numbered, so i called them up, and with no questions asked they sent me 5 more sleves, and arrived 3 days later! very good customer service i must say!

You can't go wrong with Meritline.

I used to be a big buyer from them, I started having problems with geting wrong order, no tracking number, piss poor customer service, when they sent me wrong order they wanted me to pay shipping back and shipping for new order, I told tem it was there fault and they should eat cost, they didnt want to deal with a mistake they made, right then I dedcided nor more, and have not bought form them since, all I use now is supermediastore and rima, no problems going on 3 years, I would rather pay a little more for good service then to buy products for cheap price and have a hassle

ive only ordered from meritline a couple times and each time my shipments came alot quicker than anything ive ever ordered from supermedia. i ordered a couple boxes of dvd cases and not a single one was broke or cracked, which kind of surprised me. but ive never had to deal with anyone from meritline so i cant comment on their customer service

NewEgg is by far the fastest in delivering items bought from their store. I buy most of my PC stuff there, but also use Super Media Store. No problems from either company...

I don't recommend either sites from my experiences. supermediastore.com still hasn't shipped me my item due to a a website error. Even after calling them I didn't get a tracking number. Maybe today I will get one if my order is re-shipped. I'll stick to retail stores for buying media and other supplies if I can.

    Meritline has rebate problems too!
I bought a NEC 3550a burner from Meritline in March with a promised $12 rebate in 8-10 weeks. It will be August next week, the 18th week after rebate submission, but nothing sent back to me thusfar. Yes, I have called to complain. The don't return calls at all; you must keep calling. Finally, I talked to guy named Dennis, who assured me that the rebate was approved and would be out the following week. Still waiting!
Don't hold your breath for Meritline Rebates; just assume they will never arrive.
I have filed a complaint with Yahoo Shopping. Next week I will go the BBB and FTC complaint route. Needless to say, I will be shopping elsewhere on line in the future.

now I'm concerned..... I just returned my BenQ 1655 to Meritline.com because the drive was not being recognized as a LightScribe drive by my software or computer. It did burn DVDs nicely. So I figured that it was the Prolific PL3507 chip set (it's an internal drive in a Galaxy casing, making it an external). I sent it back to them at my expense and Customer Service was very nice and said it will be replaced immediately upon return arival! I hope that's the case, because it will be there by Monday! Now I am hearing all this discontent about service from Meritline. Hope there's no problem getting my replacement!

supermediastore just re-shipped my item. I had to call for tracking number though. Will arrive August 1st. About time!. I would rather shop from a retail store sale than purchasing online. Saves me the trouble.

I really never had any problems with online shopping and this will be the first time I ever returned something to Meritline.com. I guess I'll see how good their service really is!
