Seems there ought to be a work-around if there is just one small
scratch on a disc. Is there no way to capture all data up to and
just after a tiny scratch? The DVD played perfectly !
Under File mode - 1 gig size - you lose a big chunk of movie if you
    try to ignore the error.
I thought perhaps reading in a different mode, and/or setting file
sizes very small, so as to not lose a large chunk of movie might be
possible?? (sure, any skip in movie would be annoying)
    Again,...disc played with NO glitches.

you can use dvd shrink to cut out the part you dont want, think the minimum you can lose is about 5 secs worth,
use the re-author mode, right click (i think),and the options to cut frames out is there

Cant use 'Shrink if disc wont decrypt first, can ya?
So Isobuster will "overlook" a read error? How is using this app different than using ISO mode in 'Decrypter ?

isobuster is a recovery tool, designed to recover hard to get data from stubborn discs
