I downloaded the K-Lite Mega CODEC Pack and it works except for one thing:

Real Alternative isn't functioning. Whenever I try to start up a .rmvb file, WMP10 tells me its suffered an illegal operation.

So I tried it Media Player Classic and the same thing happened, meaning that its an issue with the CODEC, not my players.

I have this CODEC pack on my other computer and it plays Real Media files fine.

Anyone know how I can beat this (get a new substitute CODEC, new player) without resorting to downloading RealOne (which I hate so very much)?

Okay, I installed it as a stand-alone and it worked.

However, when I tried to install K-Lite in addition to it, then the illegal error came back.

Is there a setting in K-Lite that might be causing this?

    [bold]Edit[/bold]: I think I pinpointed the problem.

It seems Real Alternative doesn't want to work with ANY other codec packs. Real Alternative must be used by itself. Is that true?

Alright, I resolved it by using an older version of K-Lite Mega Codec pack.

Seems like the latest revision of Real Alternative may be flawed.
