Bought some tayio yuden from metline and just wondering if I got the real thing. Dvd identifier says manufacture: tayio yuden manufacture id: yuden000 media type id: To2 on the disc itself it has TG00162
Did you mean meritline.com? If so,that is a very reputatable place for real tys. Did you miss a number?should be another digit in there. Just to verify,look at the bottom-dye side of disc. Look on the inner hub in between the clear and dye,you'll see a string of letters and numbers. Look for: TG001159 or a number close to that and post back.The main thing you want to see is th TGxxxxxx code to verify if they are true tys. That TG001159 is the number found on my Fuji +8x,made in japan with the MID code of Yuden000-T02 and is some very fine quality media. I've got some sony +1x-8x also japanese and MID code of Yuden000-T02 with the code of TG001162.
Those are exactly the same code as my sony yudens!! Excellent quality media,even came out of the same batch as my sony! You've got the real stuff! Another satisfied ty customer. BTW: watch your max burn speed setting. These yudens will fly at 16x if that setting is left on max speed on both my benqs with no special firmware! I still burn them at 4x for the best results.
