hey, everyone! my first post here. just downloaded the latest shrink version to compare it w/ dvd cloner. i've been using this to backup movies w/ fairly good success. fired it up & after a while encoding finished but when it was time to burn i got a "reallocation" error. sorry i don't have the log right now. i have nero updated to the latest version. had no problems when i used shrink 3.1 on the same movie. i tried burning the encoded files w/ nero burning rom & again i got a reallocation error but at least it let me proceed w/ burning (w/ "errors). it seemed to play well on my dvd player although i haven't watched the entire disc. please help. i'll try to post the log. thanks.

@veeroost, Need to edit and remove your Nero serial number...it is after 1A23, alsowhat kind of media do you use? How fast do you burn? I have the same internal burner, no problems. I believe your burner needs to be updated with the lastest firmware.

I've had this in the past with a few films and just ignored the errors and everthing has worked fine, so it is no big deal, think it must be some sort of security on the disc that tries to put people off from burning, and there is no comparison with dvd cloner as cloner sucks and gives you very little options and more often than not fails to put an entire dvd with extras onto a single disc.

@VeeRoost - in addition to the other replies...

    - you're doing something wrong in DVD Shrink, hence the file not present. Look up top of page in the guides section as it's far easier than me explaining how to use Shrink..

    - InCD is Nero's 'packet writing' software. uninstall Nero, uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools -' http://www.nero.com/en/Clean_Tools.html ', then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD.

    yay, nice one.

just keep the firmware in mind, if ever you try different media or whatever, that's when having up to date firmware is essential.

    happy burning and watching

woohoo!! just finished burning my first dl & it couldn't have been better. decrypter even corrected me when i chose the iso file instead of the mds (didn't do my homework ;) to start the burning process. i did remember to keep the burning speed to 2.4x even if the drive (nec-3540) claims 4x for dl's to minimize the chances of ending up w/ errors or a coaster. its playing well on my philips. thanks a lot for your help.
now about firmware, when i click on the link given by MovieDud nothing happens. it just clicks but won't open a new window or something much like refreshing the page. do i need to be a forum member to be able to download stuff from rpc1?

just had a look doen the page for that link, turns out there's no newer firmware on that link for your drive, checked somewhere else and there's no official firmware out there since 1.01, so you're up to date for now...
