Could someone tell me how to burn movies off the net onto dvds so I can play them with my dvd player? I have read the sticky threads, but Im so clueless to a point where Im not sure if those instructions are what I need. Any help is appreciated.
Welcome to AD, Not to spoil the fun, but last I heard downloading movies off the net is illegal and likely to get you in trouble with your ISP and/or the MPAA. Just a warning. However, if you were legally able to obtain a movie, say in an .AVI format, Nero would be able to do the job for you, consult the user guides for Nero to see how to do it, or look in the AD Guides, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 A very good one here. But remember, downloading movies is illegal and very much frowned on here.
if your intentions are for illegal purposes, you won't get any help from here, sorry. i would advise that you don't ask.
Just follow the guide written by Alcohol using Nero, it is very concise, very thourough, and if Ican follow it, anyone can. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Use Nero vision, make DVD, and follow the steps as putlined, really easy. If you don't have Nero, you can download it and use the 30 day trial period to see if you like it,http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 (this version seems to work the best out of all the new ones.) going to www.shop4tech.com you can actually buy the program, either version 6 or version 7 for less than ten dollars. I hope that this helps.
@TJEdwards, Unfortunately this is covered under the rules, and it is permitted, but this is a s far as I'm going with this. I advised him it was illegal and he can do what he wants with it.
@blivetNC sorry 'bout that, i guess i need to brush up on my forum rules! i apologize for my mouth runneth' over. LOL
corpseO Where you got the material has absolutely no bearing or value to the process of us helping you so in the future we don't need to know where you got it. By the looks of it you're not going to get much help in this thread so I'll close it. All is not lost though because we have some great guides that contain all the information you need to convert your movies. Click the following link then look at the guides under the "DVDR: Other video formats to DVDR" listing. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ Give it a go and if you have specific questions about the process feel free to post your question here, http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/40
