Reasons to put an HD in your PS2?

    I've been reading about many people with HD
    s on their Ps2's what are the advantages of having a Ps2 with an HD?

    To load the games with out using the actual original disc, plus the load times are quicker

    in my opinion I think it would be cheaper to mod your PS2 but any ways heres the link,

    Do research first before purchasing so you can decide whats more affordable.

    I have Matrix Infinity so its not worth it to get an HD right?

    If you wanna buy a HD, HDloader, Network adapter then its all you, but your probably gonna spend a least $150 more or less just to play without the disc.

    Im in no way discouraging.

    So you already have a modded PS2?

    Well I ordered it from Modchipman and got it today. So i have to solder it. Im getting worries that im going to fry my Ps2, ill practice with another chip and then try to do it.

    I have a tip for soldering....if you're not VERY experienced and good at it, send it off to someone and pay them to do it. Seriously. There's a bunch of folks who offer that service, do a search online. If it's not something you are TOTALLY comfortable with, you should send it out.

    (he says knowingly, one playstation2 later....)

    Maybe you can find someone near you to solder your PS2, what state or country you live in?
