I have a problem. I have too many episodes set to fit on one disc. I have 5000MB of VOB files ready to go, but the IFO files are wrong because I tried to predict 10 episodes would fit on one disc. They do not. 9 fit.

So how do I avoid running DivXtoDVD for another 2 hours stupidly converting all those AVIs again, when they're already converted sitting there as nice little VOB files? The first time I had this problem, I simply omitted burning the last file, ignoring any potential complaints the dvdplayer might have looking for the last episode mentioned in the table IFO that's not there. But I have to carry over that episode, stick it in the beginning of THIS SET of episodes, and cut off the last two episode now to make it fit continuously. Like a series should.

I thought ifoedit would be my savior, but I don't understand ifoedit. It confuses and intimated me. I would like how learn to do this properly.

It was suggested to me previously to use DVD Shrink, but it only removes extra titles. It won't let me add individual VOB, so it looks I have to be introduced to another software.

ok..... you can probably do it with DVDRemake.... delete the file and export to a new folder then burn files from the new folder. Then you can just convert the last episode to the new DVD! And start all over for the next DVD.

    try it you'll like it!

Whether I delete the [.ifo] files or use some I've already tried creating, DVDRemake cannot import these. It looks great when I feed it a perfect set of complete file from previously set, but it cannot handle the deformed IFOs I've tried making with ifoedit. It won't take them in their current state.

Well in the mean time I went and spent those 2 hours reprocessing all those files. But I'd still appreciate to know.

Well I never found an answer and I'm running out tactful ways to bump this.

FixVTS or VobBlanker, both freeware. Using a copy of your work files, try deleting the VOBs you want taken out. Using FixVTS, you can then drag a VOB to the app and select full disc and see if that corrects it. However, I don't understand the need if the files are DVD compliant. There FixVTS would help again. You can transcode the files (shrink them) using DVD Shrink or one of the retail apps available. When you have the conversion to DVD Compliant MPEG2, it's just like doing a movie backup from DVD. What you have is about 4.9GB and a DVD5 holds about 4.37GB. So the compression wouldn't be much at all. You can have all 10 episodes on the same disc. ;)

BTW FixVTS is one of the most simple apps I've used. But if you need help, there should be a guide or instructions around somewhere.
