Does it matter if the image file is small?

 

can someone give me steps how to make the games work online when u rebuild em?

 

please i need help for cdvdgen version 1.2 and version 1.5, when i open the cd_dvd recording controler unit i am getting the error "the recording unit is not connected" i am clicking ok then i am getting the error "initialization failed" i click again ok then on the next screen i can only quit and cannot do any recording, please please i need some advice

h)TYPE SLUS OR SLES (WHICHEVER YOUR FILE NAME IS) INTO THE 1ST BOX NEAR "DISC NAME"
i) TYPE ALL OF THE NUMBERS FROM YOUR FILE NAME, WITHOUT THE PERIOD, INTO THE 2ND BOX.
j) TYPE PLAYSTATION FOR THE PRODUCER NAME AND SELECT THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE AREA.
k)CLICK ON "REC...".
l)SELECT YOUR DESIRED STORAGE LOCATION AND NAME THE FILE STAR.IML
m)YOU WILL GET 2 ERRORS, JUST CLICK OK FOR BOTH.
n)THE RECORDING SCREEN WILL POP UP, CLICK ON FILE > EXPORT IMAGE AND SAVE IT ON ONE OF YOUR HARD DRIVES (NOT IN A FOLDER) NAME IT STAR.LST
o) WHEN IT'S FINISHED, YOU WILL HAVE 2 FILES NAMED STAR.000 AND STAR.001
p)CLOSE CDVDGEN AND GO TO STEP 4.

the part where it says you should get 2 errors, i only get one. after that, the recording screen doesn't pop up... anyone else have this problem?

and put it in your windows system 32 folder.

After you have the final iso patch it with image pather 1.6.

i'm getting something weird, the first time i combined all the star. files it gave me a less than 1mb. i did it again but this time i didnt close the command screen and i looked at the star.iso file and it kept getting bigger pass 700mb and it only stoped after i closed the cmd window. now am i typing it wrong? i tried both with and without spaces and the same results, bigger until i close the command window.

i did mine with the space bar but you could just DL Apache and open it and Import IML File that you created form CDDVDGEN and just rebuild the ISO from there if the comand prompt giving you problems

From the 2nd thread in this forum, WHY DO WE EVEN BOTHER REBUILDING? I didn't see any garbage files, dummy files, so why we need to rebuild? The new file will be exactly the same as the old one. I didn't rebuild mine and it loads as new. Duh !

 

I tried to copy NBA Street the regular way (Using only DVD Decrypter) and it wouldn't get past the loading screen. after Rebuilding it worked great. The first copies I made probably would have worked with most mod chips but I have Swap Magic 3.3 so I need a smaller TOC. I beleive the newer version of swap Magic will boot the higher TOC Discs (DVD-5)

 

I can't get cddvdgen1.5 to work with my windows xp. It gives me a message saying its 16 bit and XP cant run it or something and then closes. It runs on my other computer with XPjust fine, but not the one with the file already on it. Please help!!!!!

 

i have tried DVD decryptor to make my image but i get an error about 85% of the way where i can either click "retry,ignore," and somthing else which i forget now. no matter what i try i cant get get past the bad sector.

can you help me please guys?

Hi all

I've read this thread for ages and the process is problematic.

1)create bin files - How ? How do you combine bin files ? What do they look like?

2)You back up the original game to an iso file using decrypter then you extract (with isobuster) this newly created file to the same folder ?

3)The dos process - any further descriptions/images .

This tutorial needs pictures badly!!!

Thid tutorial is frustrating - please help
