    Greetings,

I was trying to backup the movie The Day After Tomorrow. Everything was going fine through the proccess with DVD-RB. When i got to the rebuild phase, it started rebuilding and then i got the following error:

Error 0006: DVD-RB has found framecount differences between the PREPARE and REBUILD phases. Aborting.

I have tried preparing and encoding the movie 4 times now, and every time i get the same error when the rebuild process starts. Does anyone know why i am getting this error and how i can fix it?

If you need any more info about any of the programs i use, etc. let me know and i will post the specs for you.

    Thanks!

    details should always be posted

    - which dvdrb versions did you try?
    - did you preprocess?
    - which settings did you use?

    DVD-RB Professional v 1.0 RC5.1
    encoding using CCE SP 2.7.02

I did pre-process the files before encoding.
The mode that i was using in DVD-RB was movie and menus only (blanking extras). I have processed movies before, this isn't the first time trying DVD-RB so this problem seems to be specific to this movie that I am trying to backup. I have backed up numerous discs before this one and all worked fine. Here is a copy of the DVD-RB log:

    [22:31:53] Phase I, PREPARATION started.

There isnt an error in the log or anything, just stops at that segment 10, so i guess that is where the problem lies. If you need any more info, let me know. Thanks for the help!

    - why are you not using the latest version 1.01 of the pro version?
    - what happened to your machine between 0:30 and 8:30?

There is no reason why i haven't upgraded..just wasnt aware of the ugrade to 1.01 but i dont think that is the problem in this instance. Nothing happened to my machine in that time period, it just was not set to "one click" mode..the rebuild started at 8.30 because that is when i manually restarted the rebuild phase. like i said this is the 4th time trying to backup this disc, and whether it is in one click mode or not i get the same error.

well, legitimate pro users get their *upgrades* via email - so nobody really has to care about anything

you're using an old version (after rc 5.1 there was rc6 and then 1.01)

new releases fairly often provide bugfixes and improvements and thus i see no reason not to use them

maybe you should try 1.01 in case you are a legitimate pro user
