I just got some pieces of a pc from my tech teacher at school and i rebuilt this computer all the way up(well, mostly) I have everything working on it but i need an operating system. I saw this linux system called Ubuntu + Beryl and i really liked what i saw from vids on youtube. and i hear that linux is probably one of the most stable operating systems out. I'd just like to know if it would be a smart choice to put this program permanently on my hard drive (which is a little 10gb hard drive for now) for everyday useage and to manage my Zune and music? if it's even possible. also how much ram would be needed to run the Ubuntu + Beryl program pretty well? thanks
linux would be a good choice for an os. to run beryl you will want 512mb ram and a video card. even old video cards can run beryl well. the only problem i see is the zune. it does not really work in linux. you would need to run windows inside vmware to use it. but other than that it would be great. also if you need linux help go to the linux forum here
