so after having the computer on for 11 days with no problems i accidentally hit 'instal' to the new quicktimes + itunes update and had to restart the computer, and i've had 4 BSOD within the last 3 hours. this is from the latest error report:

    BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000
    BCP4 : 894CB8EA OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

any help on this would be greatly appreciated as im about to use my norton ghost from yesterday to fix this issue as it just started this evening.

ok, tried that, still BSOD, so i restored it back to sunday night, and had it BSOD over night still, this time with a new reason:

    BCCode : c2 BCP1 : 00000007 BCP2 : 00000CD4 BCP3 : 02060001
    BCP4 : 88F325F8 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

ran it through the memory test that windows can do upon booting up, came back with no errors at all as i figured it was a memory issue since restoring it didnt work. not sure of where to go from here now.

ps. the error name was something about 'bad pool caller' or something along those lines.

    yet another one:
    BCCode : 10000050 BCP1 : 80808080 BCP2 : 00000008 BCP3 : 80808080
    BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

page file error where no paging or something retarded like that.

i don't know... this is over my head... either try restoring to an even earlier date or reformat and reinstall... that's my solution to everything =)

i would restore it to an earlier date, but i dont think it would help since restoring it to sunday, (when it was working) didnt help at all. and i dont really want to reformat and reinstall xp if i dont have to. i did a lot more researching and found out that the 'bad pool caller' error is due to a conflicting driver or somtehing related to the graphics card, so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it hoping this would fix the problem. been 43 minutes and no BSOD yet. so hopefully that will fix the darn thing.

that's likely... i had a corrupt driver for my video card and couldn't even boot my computer...

that seems to have been the problem, hasnt BSOD since then, i really dont know how it was 'corrupted' as nothing really has been done to affect the darn thing, but oh well i guess.
