Hi guys, i recently got an Onkyo reciever which is capable of 7.1 audio. I have a 5.1 system. I plugged in the 5 speakers in right, but i dont know how to plug in the subwoofer. On the back of the subwoofer there are the positive and negative wire inputs, while on the back of the reciever there is a subwoofer jack rather then the positive and negative wire inputs. What shall i do?????? PLEASE HELP ASAP

I'm not sure how you'd hook that kind of sub up.
It sounds like a non powered sub. You need a powered sub, to plug into the sub input, on the receiver.
You can try a Google search for non powered subs, and may find something.

You're gonna have to wire the subwoofer into ONE of your main LEFT or RIGHT speaker terminals. Positive to Positive and Negative to Negative. Can you provide the manufacturer and model number of the subwoofer?
